Substation automation and SCMS

As a substation automation integrator, ALMAFOR has upgraded Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS) across TAQA Transmission (TRANSCO) grid stations operating at 400, 220, 132, 33 and 11 kV. Scope has included redundant bay control units, communication gateways, fibre networks and integration with the Load Dispatch Centre (LDC) and Distribution Management System (DMS), executed station by station without interrupting live transmission service. The same discipline carried into related work for TAQA Distribution at Mussafah and new SCMS for primary substations at Khalifa Port for AD Ports Group.

Water and irrigation SCADA

ALMAFOR designs and commissions SCADA and automation for water networks, pumping stations and large-scale irrigation. Projects for the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) include irrigation and pump-station automation at Madinat Zayed parks, Shakhbout, the eleven-parks scheme and Hudariyat Island, alongside potable-water SCADA. Each system combines PLC, RTU, VFD and HMI control so operators gain reliable, real-time visibility of pressure, flow and pump status across distributed sites.

Energy management and building automation

Beyond the plant room, ALMAFOR delivers energy management systems (EMS), energy network monitoring (ENMS) and building management systems (BMS). Flagship work includes EMS, ENMS and automated metering deployment at Al Bahr Towers, plus BMS and chiller automation across learning centres, mosques and Estidama-compliant commercial buildings.
